About Me

My photo
sister since 1977, teacher since 2001, dog owner since 2004, wife since 2008, & mom since 2009. My sister has often described me as a Modern Hippie. I'll take it. I LOVE finding ways to reuse items, reduce waste, & promote healthy recipes, while keeping it real in the 21st century. In this blog, you will find simple ways to be good to the next generation by being good to our own backyard. These ideas are SIMPLE to incorporate for a busy household with 2 working parents, 2 super kids, & 2 active dogs to manage. In addition, one of my favorite things to do is to learn from others. Many things you will read about may not be NEW & SELF-invented...they have been borrowed, adapted, &/or shared by someone brilliant. I simply just tried it, loved it, & wanted to share it, that's all (don’t worry, I will be sure to tell you the genius behind the idea). I hope that you find this blog to be a fresh look at some of the things on your mind & in your own "attic".

A Blog!?! If you say so...

Why not!?  Anyone with kids would probably agree that memory instantly gets turned to mush the minute you become a mom.  I feel as though, unless I write something down, the thought will blow away in the wind.  Throughout the day, I think of so many things...thoughts about the kids of course, but also about my trials and tribulatons as a parent, religion vs. spirituality, goals, dreams, darn good recipes, my parents, friendships past and present, and so much more. I finally thought that blogging may be a good avenue to hang on to these passing thoughts and memories.  Here, I will keep them in my attic, so I can freely revisit my memories from time to time.  If you are following, enjoy and please share your thoughts.
Namaste.
